Lena Oravec

Lena V. Oravec, 83, of Charleroi passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in the comfort of home. Born on August 22, 1942 she was the daughter of the late George Rodgers, Sr. and Alberta (Leyhew) Rodgers.

She was Catholic by Faith and spent her life caring for her family.

Lena is survived by her daughters, Victoria DeZardo and Michele Zubritsky; son, Victor (Karen) Oravec; grandchildren, Brandy, Brandon, Alyssa (Tim), Mia, Lauren, Josh and Shane; great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Ryan, Natalia and Gaige; sister, JoAnn Heard; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Victor G. Oravec, Jr., in 2024; daughter, Mary Lou Canestrale; sister, Shirley Magnone; brothers, George and Joe Rodgers; and sister-in-law, Paula Rodgers.

As per Lena's wishes, services will be private.
